Caroline Obolensky

Psychotherapist & EMDR Practitioner & Clinical Supervisor.

Often people come to therapy in times of crisis, or when they find themselves back in a familiar situation, repeating patterns of behaviour that has a negative impact on their lives. Whether you are looking for someone to talk to at a point where things are difficult, or just want to explore thoughts and feelings; psychotherapy can help make sense of your situation.

Services

Services I Offer:

I offer three different types of  of therapy: Psychotherapy , EMDR Therapy and CBT.

Psychotherapy is often a good starting point to work out how your past is influencing who you are today. This may be how you have learned to understand the world in connection with your childhood and how you relate to others as an adult, from earlier experiences, or traumas.

Psychotherapy is useful for most mental health difficulties including anxiety and depression. The focus of this type of therapy is on the relationship between therapist and client; making sense of the past to understand the present.

Fee per session £65.00 -70.00

It's not always easy to know what kind of therapy might be best for you. And sometimes a combination of all three can be helpful. I will provide a clear therapeutic treatment plan with you, following a telephone assessment, and will guide you to what I think would be most useful to help with your difficulties.

I also offer clinical supervision to both qualified clinicians and trainee therapists. I am registered with UKCP, BACP and EMDR Association.

Psychotherapy  is the underpinning of talking therapy. It can  help identify what is going wrong in areas such as relationships / work, and enables positive change and a better understanding of self.

EMDR is often used for trauma related incidents, and can be used alongside psychotherapy. This treatment is often particularly useful for those who have PTSD.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) can be helpful in addressing problems such as phobias and OCD or intrusive thoughts.
